Noted as one of the best rivers in America for tubing by Thrillist, the Trinity River serves as the playground for Rockin’ the River. The free admission summer tubing and music series features 15 bands over five Thursdays on Texas’ only waterfront stage. River fans can float up to the stage or watch from the shore from the coolest seat in town.

Want to enjoy the summer sun, but can’t make it on Thursdays? This downtown Fort Worth and riverfront venue has a public beach open daily. Featuring real sand and room to lounge and play, it is also the perfect escape to launch a kayak or rent one from Backwoods Paddlesports. The seasonal watersports outfitter is currently open daily with stand up paddleboard, kayak and canoe rentals.

The space also features a trailhead to the 100+ miles of Trinity Trails. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the trails using the nearby Fort Worth Bike Sharing station. Head out using a traditional or electric bike and check out scenic views, unique trailheads and TRWD’s Geocaching Adventure. The treasure hunt consist of 30 geocaches hidden along the Trinity River throughout Fort Worth. Along the way to earning a prize, users can learn about the city’s history, explore hidden gems and participate in treasure hunt fun!
