With today being Thanksgiving, we are reflecting on the top five things we are thankful for today and every day along the Trinity Trails. (Trust us; it was hard to narrow down to just five). Check it out:
- Painting the River: A Trinity Trails Mural Gallery.
The mural gallery is a great way to spend your day outside while scoping out some amazing and new art and artists. Click here to learn more.
2. The Trinity River
We, of course, had to include the Trinity River. Without the Trinity River, there would not be the Trinity Trails. It provides not only an amazing recreation destination; it also is a beautiful backdrop in Fort Worth. And it doesn’t stop there. To learn more about the extensive floodway system (the Trinity River) that protects and provides water for Fort Worth, click here to check out the Tarrant Regional Water District’s (TRWD) website.
3. Biking
The Trinity Trails are good for walking, running, but they’re especially great on a bike. With 100-plus miles, the trails offer a different, beautiful way to see Fort Worth. You can start at any trailhead or park and go as far as you want. Click here to check out our Trinity Trails interactive map and find your next starting place.
4. Fishing
We love seeing everyone using the Trinity Trails to access the river to spend their days fishing. And did you know that there are four fishing piers located on the trails? These are perfect for beginners, children or if you do not want to fish along the banks of the river. Click here to learn more about fishing in Fort Worth or follow TRWD Fish the Fort on Facebook to see upcoming events, tips and everything fishing.
5. And, of course, all of you!
The Trinity Trails are beautiful, but they would be nothing without all of you who use them every day. Thank you for caring for and loving the trails as we do.
The Trinity Trails are not only special to us, but all of you, and if you have other things to add to our list direct message us on Instagram (@TrinityTrails).
